On the evening of November 23rd, The 'S members were granted an exclusive preview "Beyond the Gates of The Hotel Astoria, Corinthia Brussels." This private visit offered a sneak peek into the ongoing renovations of the iconic Hotel Astoria, Corinthia Brussels, built in 1909 for the Brussels International Exposition of 1910.

Led by Director Edward Leenders of the Corinthia brand, Francis Metger, the architect and Olivier Herpain overseeing the restoration, attendees were immersed in the opulence of The Hotel Astoria, Corinthia Brussels’ Louis XVI facade and grand interiors. The meticulous renovations promise to restore the historical charm while elevating the hotel to Brussels’ first-ever 5-star palace, set to reopen by the end of 2024.

 

A special mention must go to Nathalie Van Eygen, the photographer who captured the essence of this historical gem.
